We found Waticar in an online search and emailed them. They responded with a detailed questionnaire requesting our wants and needs. Based upon our answers, Claire and Christelle of Waticar prepared a fantastic itinerary for our entire trip. Each day was a unique adventure, tailored specifically to our group. Our drivers/guides intelligent, patient, flexible with time and very friendly to our group throughout the week. Our daily itinerary even included a delicious prepaid lunch in local restaurant. We have toured other areas in Europe over the last 10 years and I can honestly say that Waticar is the best tour company we have ever worked with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They said the car was clean and comfortable and the driver spoke very good English. He arrived even before his scheduled time to pick them up from the ship and that was good because they were ready and happy to leave early. He got them to the airport in plenty of time for their scheduled flight and even checked with the airline to confirm their departure was on time. They thought of all the tours they had been on in France this was the most interesting and of such surprise because they knew very little about Chantilly. These clients have been to France 4 times and taken MANY tours so this is truly an educated review of your services. Here are some random, more detailed feedback: - We liked the Hotel Paris Regina. Location was great. The coincidence that there was a fair going on across the street was great - especially with our kids. My only comment would be to warn first time or infrequent US travellers that some items of luxury are different than what we typically expect. Air conditioning is at the top of that list. Some of our stay was during very hot weather. But even under normal conditions, we weren't able to get the room to quite the temperature we wanted. My understanding is that the Ritz and maybe a few other luxury chains may be more like what we normally see. Having said all that, we enjoyed the charm of being in a traditional Paris hotel. - The tours you set up were great. Sylvie, who took us to Montmarte, was great. She took it upon herself to ask if the kids really wanted to spend all that time in Montmarte and we wound up spending some time there and then a quick tour of the Louvre - which was absolutely perfect for us. And we can't say enough about Al. We wish we could take him on all our vacations. He is an absolute gem. We liked both the Villa Lara and the Choiseul Hotel. - The people that took us to and picked us up from the trains were great. They helped us with luggage as much as they possibly could. You might want to warn travelers who may never have taken the train before about luggage. We were assuming luggage was checked in similar to a plane. We didn't realize that we would be scrambling to move all that luggage onto the train and then off while the train was stopped at the station. Otherwise, the kids got a real kick out of being on the train. - The Rayol Canadel resort was fair. I thought we were going to be in St. Tropez or closer. We liked the rooms. The beach and pool were very small. For some reason, the water sports were shut down each day. The little town nearby was nice. But getting cabs back and forth was impossible. The hotel did help out by bringing us there and back - for a fee. But they definitely let us know they were doing us a favor. We wound up renting a car. You might suggest that to guests having lengthy stays at similar secluded resorts. The restaurants at the resort were just fair - both in food and service. Thanks again for all your help. Overall, we really enjoyed the trip. I don't know what your experience is with Open Skyes airline, but we really enjoyed the flight as well. I would recommend that to anybody coming from New York. We added one person in at the very last minute and the company was wonderful about looking into the possibility of this person coming on the tours. When we arrived in Paris, we were met at our hotel on time by Sandrine and Fabrice and given a tour of Paris, we were able to collect our other two guests from the National Opera before going to see Sacre Couer and Monmatre – Sandrine was able to change the plans to allow the team extra time with the artists in Monmatre and she was very good with dealing with an over-excited and talkative team !! Sandrine ensured that our lunch reservation at the Eiffel tower was correct and did not leave us until we were fast-tracked through to the restaurant. Fabrice waited for us and took us over to Bateux Parisien and then waited for our return. Fabrice dropped us back to our hotel on time and was kind enough to call back with a coat that had been left on the mini-bus. The mini-bus was spacious and ideal for our trip. In the evening we were met (again on time) by Yan who took us to the Lido, on the way back Yan took a detour to allow us to take photos of the Eiffel tower at night. He was very polite and patient.
